Camping on Gigha

Gigha has a small, designated camping area on the grass adjacent to the Boathouse where toilet and shower facilities are also available. Camping places are restricted and by prior arrangement only. Please contact the Gigha Hotel on 01583 505254 prior to arrival to check availability. If sites are available, campers would be expected to report to the hotel to pick up identification disc and pay a returnable deposit.
The Boathouse is near the ferry slip, following the ferry road, the Boathouse is signposted on your left just 300 yards from the slip. The camping area is close to all amenities on Gigha, Joe and Lindsay run the Boathouse Café Bar, offering meals and drinks throughout the day, beside the camping area. The shop, post office and hotel are just a 5-minute stroll away.

Camping is free, but donations can be made at the Hotel towards the Gardens Restoration fund. Please leave the area as tidy as you found it so that others can enjoy it after you. Remember that Gigha is a beautiful and tranquil place - please respect that when you are camping here

Please note; All campers must book in at the hotel.

Look forward to seeing you soon ...
