Accommodation
Overlooking the picturesque
Ardminish Bay and Sound of Gigha to the mainland, these two open
plan cottages are ideally located to explore the fascinating Island
of Gigha. Each croft affords excellent views of the Boathouse beach
and the bustling yacht anchorage, which in the summer is a profusion
of colour.
The crofts are ideally
located to explore this wonderful little island. There are excellent
beaches where the abundant bird and wildlife can be viewed in peace
and quiet. A pleasant stroll down the main road of Gigha to the
south takes you to Achamore Gardens - 50 acres of rare and usual
plants in secluded gardens sheltered by surrounding woodland. The
Gigha Hotel provides a friendly and welcoming reception when you
decide not to cook. The seafood is caught locally and you can actually
talk to the fishermen at the South Pier when they come in for the
evening with their catches. You will also have to chance to see
the seals coming in for their evening meals.
The crofts provide extremely
comfortable accommodation, each sleeping four with two single beds
on the upstairs gallery and a bed sofa/single bed downstairs. The
kitchen provides a gas cooker, fridge, the heating is by electricity
and there is a colour television. As with the other holiday cottages,
a full inventory is provided.
Access
to cottages is after 4pm on day of arrival. Please collect you keys
from the hotel.
