Saturday: The weather was always going to be against us but no,we
were in luck with a small skiff and then out came the sun to start
the Parade from the Firestation, with a Touch of Tartan theme this
year. MC Alex McPhee kept the open mike session in order for the
day with additional entertainment for the kids from the Tallman
on his bike and teaching kids and big wannabee kids circus acts. There
were additional stalls this year selling their wares from cup cakes
to candy floss, jewellry and Fab Chocolate tree ice creams to name
a few. We even had a visit from Blazes the Bear who came out of
retirement to say Hi to the kids and raise a laugh or two and some
funds. Scrummy food was laid on by Gigha Hotel during the day and
followed at tea time by a BBQ at the Boathouse, thanks to all that
were involved on the day who helped and to all that attended.

Sat night: What a line up this year....kicking off with our very
own Eilidh and Catriona singing alongside Kathleen MacInnes,Sinneag
MacIntrye and Mhairi Hall, well done girls. Kathleen then gave us
a stunning rendition some of her songs old and new, only to come
back on again to join in with Breabach for a song then Breabach
followed by giving us a few of their
slower melodies before the break and then gave us a foot stompin
finale for the second half.

The night was finished with a good old Gigha disco into the easy
hours.
Sunday: The Pipers Picnic this year had to go from Plan A,to B and
then to C due to the weather finally taking place in the Gallery
with wine cheese and music from musicians who managed to drag themselves
from their beds and tents, thanks gain to all that made the Pipers
Gallery!
Sunday night: This year Joe managed to convince Lorne and Tia to
wait another night and entertain us and feed us with a chilli and
curry. The crowd even managed to get Joe and Tony to join in to make
a truely entertaining night onlt to be topped of by Tia who produced
a set of nunchucks and a gallon of paraffin and gave us a stunning
flaming display accompanied by Lorne on the pipes...only on Gigha.
Until next year(our 10th anniversary),thanks again and we hope everyone
had a great time
