Achamore Gardens

Malcolm Allan Garden

The Utility Sites

As with all the gardens here at Achamore I try to keep all areas open to the public. there is no exception with this site next to compost heap.

This area comprises of:

  • An old unused wood shed. (It used to be the garage for the Rolls Royce)
  • One large tin sheeted Nissen hut which houses the 1959 Massey-Ferguson 35 tractor and its trailer.
  • The  next same- sized tin  hut houses the old workshop bench and the two compact Kubota tractors and their trailers.
  • There is a small shed for fuel storage
  • This is also the central point for storing firewood and preparing it for delivery by the gardeners to islanders.

All the buildings are past their best, but all are still functional.
