Achamore Gardens

Tile Garden

The Last Garden of Achamore

Historically, this area used to be divided into smaller gardens with names such as The Ash Garden, Beech Tree Bay Griersonium Garden, Rose Bay Garden and Colin's Garden, but time has 'fused' them together. Continuing the theme of names we would like to re-name this area as "The Last Garden of Achamore".

Again this site contains "wrong" plants, overgrown plantings and a dense mass of mature trees. We will need to find resourses to "tame" this site and re-design to create a finale on returning to the Visitor Reception.

Thank you very much for taking the time to wander through this tour of Achamore Gardens. I hope it has given you a brief idea of some of the plants we display and some of the new ideas we would like to add working in conjunction toward Col. Horlick's planting ethos and to redefine "the spirit of the place" he created.
