Achamore Gardens

South Drive

South Drive

The South Drive is best known for it's Camellias which, weather permitting, bloom extremely well here. Varieties include Donation, Citation, Charles Michael, C.F. Coates, Inspiration, Barbara Hillier, St Ewe, Mary Christian, J.C. Williams and Hiraethlyn. At the end of the drive Embothruim Coccineum (Chilean fire bush) provides alternative spring colour, while fine specimens of Eucryphias show off their white blossom in late summer.
