Achamore Gardens
Tile Garden
The Tile garden has, along with other plants, a collection of large leafed hybrids and here Rhododendron Thomsonii shows shaggy bark to good effect. The Green walk has several small areas of interest, which include plants of Rhododendron Yakushimanum and hybrids such as Rhododendron Redcap. The South East garden is another good place for large leafed species including Rhododendron Arizelum, Eximium and Sinogrande. The Ash garden has a boggy area where a large planting of Hostas thrives. Away from the wettest ground can be found Rhododendron Wiltonii, Loderi, Wardii, and Sir Joseph Hooker. From here the path leads eventually back onto the Main drive near the Entrance Glade, passing a large group of Rhododendron Cunningham's White on the left.
