A year in the life of...
Website Update

Our first website meeting
was held in Mick and Audrey's house one lovely summer's evening. We sat
around the kitchen table, looked at the web site and decide which areas
we would change, and in what order. Given the scale of the challenge, we
have decided to remodel the existing site by removing all out of date content.
The main menu that runs down the left hand side will be the first area of
concern, and at this first meeting we went through four different aspects
of that menu and decided what would stay and what would go. We also had
a good long think about advertising on the website, and have drafted a proposal
to put to the board of IGHT. With regards to this subject.
So the remodelling starts! All old news articles have been purged, a new
temporary front page put on with a rather striking image and the remodelling
of the left hand side menu is about to begin. The most important aspect
of the remodelling is the renaming of the diary section to be the Gigha
blog. Me and Viv, Mike and Audrey and Susan Allen are all going to start
contributing to this new Gigha blog and hopefully this will generate not
only interest, but a little traffic to the site as well.
So here goes, the website remodelling has begun, and let us hope that by
the end of this year we will see real changes to the site.
